What We Do

S12 Feedback Tool captures website feedback and sends it directly to an Asana project. We don’t collect, store, or see your personal data. No names, IDs or browsing history. Just the page areas you want to send feedback on.

What Data is Collected

Only when you actively use the tool:

  1. (Our) Asana API Token – Stored locally in your browser to authenticate with Asana
  2. Screenshots – 300px radius captures around your clicks
  3. Feedback Text – Snag titles and descriptions you enter
  4. Page URLs – The web addresses where you captured feedback
  5. Click Coordinates – X/Y positions where you clicked
  6. Timestamps – When feedback was captured

Where Does Data Go

Directly to our Asana account. That’s it.

  • Your browser → Asana’s servers (via HTTPS)
  • We (Sector 12 Digital) never see, store, or access your feedback. It’s completely anonymous.
  • No third-party analytics, tracking, or data collection
  • No servers, no databases, no storage on our end.

What We DON’T Collect

❌ Login credentials for other websites
❌ Any data when extension is inactive
❌ Analytics or usage tracking

Data Storage

  • Your browser: Asana token only (encrypted by Chrome)
  • Asana: All feedback stored in our Asana project
  • Our servers: None – we don’t have any

Permissions Explained

  • activeTab – Captures screenshots of current webpage
  • storage – Saves your Asana token locally
  • tabs – Enables communication between extension components
  • scripting – Injects feedback interface into pages
  • <all_urls> – Works on any website you want to review

Your Rights

  • Delete data: Uninstall extension to remove local token
  • Access data: All feedback is in your Asana project
  • Control: Only collects data when you activate feedback mode

Security

  • All communication uses HTTPS encryption
  • API token stored using Chrome’s secure storage
  • Screenshots processed entirely in your browser
  • No transmission to anyone except Asana
